Okay. Sorry for the lack of update. The Yamal has been scrapped. The only ship left that can make the journey is the Kaptain Kalibnikov. It will be scrapped the Fall of 2012. That gives us two chances. We can charter the ship for July or August of 2011 or 2012, or both. As you know, it takes $700,000 to make the deposit on the ship charter no later than December of the prior year or departure. So, if we are going to leave in Augsut of 2011, we need to raise $700,000 by December of 2010. It can be done, but we don't want to sell seats. Thet would just give us a boat fill of ricvh tourists. We reserve the right to direct investments and donations to any legitimate purpose pursuant to completion of the NPIEE. We have nearly completed assembling a team of scientists, engineers, and exopolitical experts to gather and record data never before seen. We will be providing a $23,500 grant to each member of the voyage in travel expenses, which includes the following:
We sincerely believe that, since we are traveling to a place never before explored, we will likely produce unique and powerful data about the structure of the Earth and other important discoveries. Further, we believe that this data will be of utmost interest to the world, and therefore we are further dedicated to producing documentaries, books, and lectures about our findings. We sincerely hope that although this documentary is for entertainment purposes only, it will capture the heart of the explorer in each of us. we will be streaming video live from the Ship 24 hours a day. Our plan is to collect at least 3,000 hours of video and as many pictures as it takes to capture the observations of the team. From this data, we intend to produce five documentaries:
Of course, the intent is that these documentaries will be so good and so sought after that they end up on the greatest television and cable outlets for public viewing. These documentaries will be produced and sold as DVDs by APEx for the purpose of raising funds to perhaps conduct annual treks to the North Pole and for attempted contact with other life forms. We will bring all of the data to you, the viewer without anything held back. Before you apply, consider that this expedition will not be easy. there will be high seas, cold winds, and long hours of study and project participation. Your projects must be completed in 15 days, and on site measuerements must be designed to be captured in less than 48 hours. You will have a new room mate, strange food, and you will learn how to meditate. You may not sleep until we return. You must maintain an open mind and pledge to collect and retain all data, including a continuous personal journal. We have little chance of success. Your career may be permanently affected. You may experience things that change your core beliefs in religion or science. If you are still interested in being a part of the documentary or traveling with us to the North Pole, please send us an e-mail with your answers to the following questions. Remember, passage is intended to be free of charge, and seating is limited to 100. Here is the passenger distribution:
Among the most important attributes of this mission is to establish and maintain the consciousness of the ship at the highest possible level for the entire 15 days. It is vital to the integrity of the expedition to privately fund this project and maintain complete licensing access to all data and film from the expedition. Some of you have been called to serve as financial supporters for this expedition. You know who you are. We want you to CHOOSE to accept that calling. We promise you will not be disappointed, though there may be a risk you may not see a financial return from the films that are produced. Read the Business Plan and make your own decision.
We also want you to prepare a one-minute video of you stating the following: Your Name Why you want to go on the expedition What you plan to bring to the expedition Please submit answers to the following questions to us at the e-mail address below:
